"You must think that I'm imagining things: people pay a lot for the work when the painter himself is dead."

Well, I can easily say that Van Gogh is one, if not the first, of my favourits artists. As soon as I got the chance to see "Painted with words" (ABSOLUTELY AMAZING), I decided to try making something about Vincent. It was a tough work to do, since I was freightened (and still I am) by the idea of spoiling this great figure with a mediocre work. Well, I hope the final result is something more than "average" xD
I decided to use Benedict Cumberbatch as a sort of "narrator", since he read Vincent's letters so well, and then all the Van Goghs I know and was able to get so as not to create a fixed image of Vincent: I wanted to show the complexity of his character. Then I couldn't help quoting the beautiful words by Bill Nighy in Doctor Who and the using the scene with Vincent at the museum, though it could be a little confusing... But that scene is amazing and makes me cry each time, so here it is. =) I tried to keep the whole video as "clean" as possible, focusing on the work of the different actors and the images rather than on strange effects... As for the music, I thought "Saturn" was perfect, even the lyrics,, especially the parts I left in the video. I don't want to explain why I think so of those lines, since I have yet spoken far enough and a video should talk for himself without any explanation or its creator would have failed. (Hope it's not my case!)
Well, as always I hope you will enjoy this "special" video.
