"In the modern educational system, these type of exchanges only make us better," says Jonathan Crossley, Ed.D. Superintendent at Hope Public Schools. Crossley recently spoke to the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) team about Hope High School's experience hosting Oumou, a PAX/YES exchange student from Mali.
Reflecting on Oumou's contributions to the learning environment and how the Arkansas school benefited, Crossley explained, "She knows multiple languages. She's an active participant in our extracurriculars. She has glowing reviews from all of her educators. She's a model student for us."
