Severe Storms with Damaging Winds and Insane Lightning | Ames, IA
A severe thunderstorm produced a swath of extensive wind damage along the Highway 30 corridor during the morning of July 11, 2022. Since the storm was coming toward Ames and had an impressive downburst and velocity signature on radar, I couldn’t resist but to get up and go shoot some video this morning. What an early morning treat, and thankfully no serious damage or injuries!
