Fugue No. 7 in A Major - Shosty
I've been working on this fugue since last summer, and I never had the time to record it. Now that I've finally had the chance to do so for over a month, I can't get a single clean run-through! Oh the frustration...
This was the best I could come up with - I hope you enjoy. The beauty of this piece is in its completely perfect harmony. Its a fugue with no dissonance - only pure, unadulterated triads dwell in this house. Fugue No. 7 is a fugue with No 7 chords (coincidence?), as well as any other pesky extensions, meant to add tension to a piece of music. The result is a piece that, at least to me, seems to be nothing but pure joy. It's not your typical Shostakovich, but boy do I love it.
Not that I have a thing for Soviet Composers... no... why would I?
Thanks for watching. I will be on hiatus (as usual) until I'm back from Moldova in about a year. In the future, I plan on moving away from music and more towards writing. I hope to come up with some good video essays - I already have a few scripts waiting. :)
