And that's why you shouldn't drink, smoke, or play with matches kids.

I recorded this the day of my flight to Moldova, so its a bit of a rough take. However, seeing as I haven't posted anything for a year now, I feel it's necessary to show this channel is still breathing, even if it means i have to upload some mediocre content.

About the song:
Written and originally performed by the late Alexander Litvinov, better known by his stage name, Venya D'Rkin, this absolutely absurd piece of work has been a favorite of mine ever since my dad and I watched a video of D'Rkin's 1997 concert at the "Perekryostkok" theater in Moscow on YouTube a few years ago (accessible at this link:    • Веня Д'ркин - Концерт в Перекрестке   ).
I decided to learn the piece myself last year while I was in Moldova, and I've managed to extract quite a few laughs performing it. Here is a translation of the lyrics:

The girl lit a cigarette and fell asleep drunk.
The room caught fire:
there was no air left to breathe.

The firefighters arrived,
and the firefighters have children;
they don’t want to get into the flames,
nobody wants to die!

But the young fireman is not afraid of the flames,
The young fireman is not afraid of the flames.
BUT THE YOUNG FIRE FEARS NO FLAMES - HE RUSHES TO SAVE THE GIRL!

And there he is, carrying the girl
away from the flames,
And let's go firefighters! let it rip,
spilling water everywhere.

And they poured soooo much water
that you couldn’t see the shore,
with depths up to the throat,
but none of them gave a damn:

that the young fireman couldn’t swim,
the young fireman couldn’t swim.
THE YOUNG FIREMAN DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM!
so he drowned with this chick.

The firefighters left,
the rescuers arrived,
and began, with scuba gear,
diving to retrieve the corpses.

But the water had all dried up,
because it was hot there.
Children were playing with matches
and everything caught fire again.

The rescuers left,
the firefighters arrived,
but the firefighters have children,
they don’t want to die.

But the young fireman is not afraid of the flames,
The young firefighter doesn't fear the flames.
AND THE YOUNG FIREMAN FEARS NO FLAMES -
HE'S OFF TO RESCUE THE RESCUERS!

And there he is! carrying the girl,
and carrying the fireman,
and carrying the rescuers,
from the burning fire.

And so then the firefighters,
once more began pouring water,
a little less than previously,
but still too much to escape!

And the young fireman can't swim.
The young fireman can't swim.
THE YOUNG FIREMAN DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM,
so he also drowned.

The firefighters left,
the rescuers arrived,
Then again the firefighters,
then the rescuers again,
Then the firefighters again,
then the rescuers
then the firefighters... (etc. etc.)

Venya's signature ending to this song is to moan and scream "F*cking scoop! F*cking Scoop!" which makes no sense in English, but in Russian, scoop or "Sovok" is slang for "brainwashed Soviet person" (someone who has a "Soviet mentality" and/or is supportive of the Soviet regime). In my cover, I opted for a fade-out instead.
