In this episode of Mountain High Adventures on Youtube we summit a 13,000 foot peak from the valley floor 8,500 feet below. This is Day 4 of the Dirt & Vert Tour. We rode our Poseidon Redwood Adventure bike from Independence Creek Campground up Onion Valley Road to the Kearsarge Pass Trailhead. From there we ran, hiked, and scrambled up to the summit of Mount Gould at 13,011'. Join me for a beautiful bluebird day in the high sierra.
The Dirt & Vert Tour was a 9 day bike packing trip through Owen's Valley during late summer of 2023. I camped at classic eastside trailheads and went for many peak bagging romps in the high sierra on foot. Day 4, in this episode, we rode up a classic road climb, and then made our way trail running and rock scrambling up to the summit of Mt Gould.
