Dain & Glorfindel Spell Combo | LOTR BFME Guide Attribute Modifiers Part 3, Section B | BFME2 |ROTWK
Stacking spells with spells is something virtually unexplored in BFME2 and ROTWK. And for good reason!
Are spell-with-spell combos worth your time? They are exceptionally rare in BFME2 and ROTWK because you have to have expert team coordination to pull them off--and ONLY team coordination. So the question is one I'll begin to exploring in this video, first by looking at how much can be accomplished with just Dain and Glorfindel combining their spells with a leadership and a buff (which is the max combo possible in these games--x spells, 1 leadership, 1 buff). I chose Dain and Glorfindel because they have spells which can affect any non-monster/non-hero/non-heroic unit in the game, not being limited to specific units like the other heroes.
Are spell combos a feature even worth trying to coordinate in team gameplay? (I know I, personally, have never seen anyone pull them off!)
The amount of coordination between players to make it happen leaves some questions worth considering for any serious or casual players of these games. I hope I can answer some of them! But it begs the question as to whether the spell-with-spell combo feature is somewhat wasted given the extreme rarity of the hero spell attribute modifier type to begin with: Only four heroes total have a spell in ROTWK (3 in BFME2).
This video and the ones to follow will continue to pave the way for a better understanding and appreciation of the streamlining of the attribute modifier system in the Age of the Ring mod, coming further on in the series. In that mod, the spell modifier type is definitely far more rewarding, plentiful and easier to pull off for combos!
