A quick tour of some great geological stops in the Valley and Ridge Province of the Southern Appalachians in Eastern Tennessee, emphasizing the Copper Creek Thrust Sheet. This fold and thrust belt was produced in the Alleghanian Orogeny during the late Paleozoic about 325-275 million years ago.
