Tucked away in South Carolina is a great little geology spot on the Chatooga River called Woodall Shoals. The rocks here are high grade metamorphic rocks of the Eastern Blue Ridge, part of the Southern Appalachian mountain belt. There are ~7 fold generations thought to be present in these rocks - I'll show you several of them here! There are also lots of amphibolite boudins, potholes, and plenty of cascading water.
