Is the Universe 13.8 billion years old?

I don’t really see the issue with adjusting the age of the universe. Personally, I believe it’s much older than the current estimate of 13.8 billion years. I also don’t subscribe to the hot Big Bang theory—I think the universe was cold at one point, with a mass that eventually started moving. If we consider the universe as being flat (Euclidean), let’s imagine two static gravitational vacuum fields that were flat. A cold anomaly could have occurred, bringing in quantum physics, but I hesitate to call it 'energy' at that point, since nothing was supposed to be moving before the Big Bang.

We need to reconsider our current theories and work toward a unified picture of the universe’s origins. The Steady State theory might have had a beginning—obviously, motion had to start at some point. The idea that the universe was always in motion doesn’t make sense. It’s essential to figure out how and when this motion began.

I appreciate you, Ethan, for pointing out that the center of the universe, where motion first started or the Big Bang occurred, could be around 10 million light years away. If the universe is shaped like our Milky Way, perhaps we are close to the center of that, like the eye of a hurricane, where things are calm, while the surrounding regions experience constant turbulence. This could explain the lack of artificial radio signals reaching Earth—we might be in a quieter region, while other parts of the universe are more chaotic, potentially canceling out intelligent radio signals.

There’s about 23-24% of unaccounted helium in the universe. This aligns with a modified Steady State theory, where nucleosynthesis events generate hydrogen over extended periods, leaving behind helium. Helium, which doesn’t freeze, would persist through cycles of expansion and contraction, leaving behind this byproduct. This evidence points to a universe much older than we currently believe.

This doesn’t necessarily negate the Big Bang; rather, it could represent the first instance of motion, converting quantum energy into other forms of energy and matter. As for how matter survived antimatter? I think it’s because matter, along with gravity, electromagnetism, and the weak nuclear force, is an attractive force, which helped it withstand annihilation.
