My number one tip would be to make sure you have a trial as early as possible.
Over the past 6 months I have been getting at least 1 call a week from brides who were told to leave their trial to the last month. Either they had it and hated it or worse still the artist went missing and they couldn't be contacted or could no longer help them on their wedding day.
