Blown film is a plastic processing method, which refers to a plastic processing technology that heats and melts plastic particles and then blows them into a film. Usually, the polymer is extruded into a tubular film blank, and it is passed through a high-pressure process under a good melt flow state. The air blows the tube film to the required thickness, and becomes a film after cooling and setting.
The quality of the film material blown out by this processing technology is related to the machine and plastic particles of the blown film. The production equipment is simple, the investment is small, and the product has quick results; the mechanical properties of the film are high; there is no edge material and less waste; the film product is cylindrical, and the bag making process is simple; it can produce large and wide films.
If it is a film blown out of new materials, the color is uniform, clean, and the finished product is stretched well. If the plastic particles made of recycled waste plastics are usually added with pigments when made into a film, the resulting film may be unevenly colored, brittle and easily broken, and the price is relatively low.
If the blown film material produced by a professional film blowing machine is suitable for various high-grade film packaging. This film can be widely used in light and heavy packaging due to its good barrier properties, freshness preservation, moisture resistance, frost resistance, oxygen barrier and oil resistance. Such as various fresh fruits, meat products, pickles, fresh milk, liquid beverages, medical supplies, etc. If the non-professional blown film machine or blown film machine does not use the correct method in the processing process, the film material produced may also be inferior.
Most PEs are used for blown film processing films, general purpose low density PE (LDPE) or linear low density PE (LLDPE) are available. HDPE film grades are generally used where superior stretchability and excellent barrier properties are required. For example, HDPE film is commonly used in merchandise bags, grocery bags and food packaging. PE film processing generally uses ordinary blown film processing or flat extrusion processing.
