JESSIE: FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END | CREATION, SUCCESS, END + FIGHT: DEBBY RYAN VS SKAI JACKSON
In today's video we're going to talk about a much-loved Disney Channel series: Jessie.
It is an American comedy series that aired in September 2011 to October 2015, containing 4 seasons. The last season marked the transition of seasons of the Disney channel.
Anne Sweeney's former management, which lasted from 1996 to 2014, brought a lot of focus to live shows and musical teen films, and for this reason, she was criticized a lot.
Jessie was created by Pamela O'Connell, who has credits on broadcasters such as ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as the Disney Channel, where she executive produced Zack and Cody: Gemini in Action, and later, Producer and Developer for Zack and Cody : Twins on board.
Jessie was written for Debby Ryan, because Pamela wanted to show her talent, since both had already worked together on Zack and Cody.
The Recordings of the Series took place on Set 3/8 of the Hollywood Center Studios, and the 1st season had a total of 26 episodes.
After choosing the protagonist, it was necessary a casting to decide the Ross family. Among them were selected: Peyton List, Skai Jackson, Karan Brar and Cameron Boyce, the star who unfortunately passed away in 2019, just 20 years after scoring on projects, including Jessie and Descendants.
On the 17th of May 2013, the full episode of "The Abandonment of Kenny the Koala" of the 2nd season was aired, however, Disney quickly removed it from the air due to a character exaggerating on a gluten diet, but it was too late, the disney channel had to speak up and apologize.
After 4 seasons, Jessie came to an end with 101 episodes. To continue with the audience, a spin-off called Acampados was created.
And a remarkable event during the recordings was the appearance of rumors of an alleged Debby Ryan bullshit with Skai Jackson, claiming that Skai would have spoken ill of Debby on Twitter.
