In this video I show you how to use Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation to solve for Force of gravity, mass and distance between objects.

Here are the problems I solve:

Sample Problem 1.
Determine the force of gravitational attraction between the earth (m = 5.98 x 10^24 kg) and a 70-kg physics student if the student is standing at sea level, a distance of 6.38 x 10^6 m from earth's center.

Sample Problem 2.
Determine the mass in kg of a football player whose gravitational force is 980 N, the mass of the earth is 5.98 x 10^24 kg, and its radius is 6.38 x 10^6 m.

Sample Problem 3.
Determine the radius (in m) of the moon if a 70-kg chemistry student on the moon experiences a gravitational force of 117 N. The mass of the moon is 7.34 x 10^22 kg.
