Hello Bakers; here's a simple and very delicious Cinnamon Tea Cake recipe to try out!
One of my favorites!
RECIPE:
*All purpose Flour - 1 1/4 cups or 165 gms
Baking Powder - 1 1/4 teaspoon or 4 gms
*Salt - 1/8 teaspoon
*Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
*Sugar - 1/2 cup or 95 gms
*Unsalted Butter - 1/2 cup or 100 gms
You can also use Margarine - make sure to omit the salt
*Eggs - 2 pcs, medium size
*Milk - 1/4 to 1/3 cup or approximately 50 to 60 ml
Spicy Glaze:
*Melted Butter - 2 Tablespoons or 30 grams
*Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
*Sugar - 1 tablespoon or 15 grams
you can use granulate sugar, caster sugar or icing sugar
For above recipe; use a 6 inch cake pan - yield is approximately 500 gms.
You can double the quantities above for a 1Kg cake yield and use either a 7 or 8 inch pan when baking the cake
