Lemon cake recipe tutorial Baking with Amari YT
Hello Bakers, we're sharing a Lemon Cake recipe tutorial today.
You can decorate this cake with Whipped cream frosting like above or Buttercream frosting.
PS - for the rind; mix it with the sugar in a bowl to make lemon sugar first, before creaming the butter and sugar together.
The above cake yield was for a 500gms cake or a 6-inch cake size with approximately 6 to 8 servings.
RECIPE:
Ingredients:
• All- Purpose Flour 1 1/3 cup - 180 gms
• Baking Powder 1 teaspoon 4 gms
• Butter or Margarine 1/2 cup 95 gms
• Sugar 1/2 cup 95 gms
• Lemon medium size 1 pce - grate for rind about 1 teaspoon and Juice 1 Tablespoon
• Egg - medium size 2 pcs - beaten
• Milk 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup - appx 60 to 100 ml
This recipe can be doubled to bake a 1 Kg cake - use an 8 inch pan for this size
For the Whipped cream frosting; we used 1/2 cup - appx 120 ml of non dairy topping with the addition of pink food color plus sprinkles and slices of lemon for garnish.
