Backpacker Retired Wondering About Metaphors
I spend a lot of time talking to myself. What am I doing, and how did I get here? Are there easier ways to break the complex down to simple ideas. Why did I learn so much flying airplanes, going to 30 countries, learning languages if I got bad grades in school. How was I able to stop playing the work game and retire at 36. How could I learn to make $50,000 a year without working when I am the last guy to get hired or promoted. My resume is terrible and spotty except for that one time I was a bus driver.
I think I was able to live a happy life because I took myself out of the game (career/education etc.) When ever I play a game the first question I ask is, "How can I not follow the rules." I always think there are multiple ways to accomplish goals. Goals like happiness.
