The video here clearly demonstrates the stainless steel welding with MIG / GMAW machine. The Mig welding process is a semiautomatic process where the filler wire is fed constantly from a spool with the help of a wire feeder. The power source is based on the initiation of an arc which is initiated once the electrode touches the work metal. The strong arc will produce a high grade of heat at the junction. The filler material is pushed at the welding site. The weld zone is protected with the shielding gas to avoid oxidation of the weld zone leading to welding defects. The gases used here in a combination with co2 and argon gas to weld the stainless steel. The co2 used 5% and argon in 95% depending upon the metal the gas ratio may be changed as per the need.
