Most countries, have their own environmental protection agencies to administer laws pertaining to the protection of natural environment and human health. It is essential to propose regulations that will reduce environmental harm likely to occur due to industrial as well as other developmental activities. It also gives due consideration to national economy, other regulations and international treaties, and public interest initiatives. It promotes the conservation of natural resources and enhance energy efficiency. With the experience a large number of laws came into existence and as the problems began arising, many more are being proposed.
