Question Number 1: "Why didn't you buy a traditional van for your Vanlife travels?"
Well, we wanted to travel 100% electric on our road trips; that was and still is crucial for us. The Tesla Model Y Long Range has by far the most range, and Tesla also has the largest charging network worldwide.
The electric vans currently on the market didn't impress me with their range and technology. So, the decision was crystal clear.
Question 2: "I imagine it's quite tight; how do you manage with the space? Where do you store all your stuff?"
Sure, it's not a luxury hotel.
But for anyone who has ever camped in a tent, in a Tesla Model Y, you have just as much or even more space, and it's more comfortable too.
Even for us, a family of three, there's enough storage space in the Tesla Model Y for everything we need. We even bring along our cooking equipment...
Question 3: "Could you always find charging stations, and where?"
No, I couldn't always find charging stations.
There were charging stations that simply didn't work.
Regarding Tesla Superchargers, I have to say they always worked, really always, even in Morocco. Depending on where we were, we had to rely on charging stations from other providers.
And during our most adventurous road trip through Morocco, I was glad we could also charge at campsites using a regular plug.
Question 4: "Why choose Vanlife in a Tesla?"
A significant advantage is that you can use the Tesla Model Y in everyday life, which is challenging with a camper van.
A clear disadvantage is having less space than in a traditional van, but it depends on the van's size.

Question 5: "How long does it take for your EV to be fully charged?"
It really depends on the current charge level. I estimate between 10 to 30 minutes. And you only drive the battery empty in exceptional cases.
