In Secret Wars (1984) – Chapter 6 and the beginning of Chapter 7, the war enters a more complex stage, where the conflicts are no longer just physical, but also internal. The Wasp finds the Lizard wounded and decides to help him, forming an unexpected bond amidst the chaos. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom locates Klaw inside Galactus's ship and begins to reorganize the villains, assigning new missions to further his plan.
On the heroes' side, tensions rise when Professor X clashes with Storm over leadership of the X-Men. On the other hand, a new figure appears: Spider-Woman infiltrates the heroes as a spy, though her presence doesn't go unnoticed for long. Meanwhile, the Wasp is attacked by the Destruction Group and, along with the Lizard, is captured.
The conflict escalates when the villains attack the village, and in the ensuing chaos, the Wasp is thrown from a ship. The heroes try to save her by enlisting Zsaji's help, but it's too late. The Wasp's death marks a turning point in the war, making it clear that in this conflict, no one is safe.
