About:
Ryomen Sukuna (両りょう面めん宿すく儺な Ryōmen Sukuna?), more often referred to as simply Sukuna (宿すく儺な Sukuna?), is the strongest jujutsu sorcerer from over a thousand years ago. Regarded as the undisputed King of Curses (呪のろいの王おう Noroi no Ō?), Sukuna is one of the primary antagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
According to legend, Sukuna was an Imaginary Demon (仮か想そうの鬼き神じん Kasō no Kijin?) during the Heian Era. In truth, he was a human sorcerer also known as the Disgraced One (堕だ天てん Daten?).[2] Jujutsu sorcerers of the Golden Age of Jujutsu gave their all against him but ultimately fell one after another. Sukuna existed throughout the ages by transforming into a cursed object after death, a state where he split his power into twenty indestructible fingers.[1]
Sukuna was incarnated in June 2018 when Yuji Itadori consumed one of his fingers.[3] Sukuna was trapped inside Yuji's body and was rarely in control until he managed to transfer his soul into the body of Megumi Fushiguro.
Pomni is the main protagonist of Glitch Productions' indie animated web series The Amazing Digital Circus. She is voiced by Lizzie Freeman, and made her first appearance in the pilot episode. Taking the form of a cartoon jester while trapped inside the Digital Circus with five other victims, she is the most recent human to enter after putting on a headset.
Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, rgh. "Sorcery Battle")[a] is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected in 27 tankōbon volumes as of July 2024. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. Jujutsu Kaisen is a sequel to Akutami's Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, serialized in Shueisha's Jump Giga from April to July 2017, later collected in a tankōbon volume, retroactively titled as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in December 2018.
Jujutsu Kaisen is licensed for English-language release in North America by Viz Media, which has published the manga in print since December 2019. Shueisha publishes the series in English on the Manga Plus online platform. Two novels, written by Ballad Kitaguni, were published in May 2019 and January 2020, respectively. An anime television series adaptation produced by MAPPA, aired its first season on MBS from October 2020 to March 2021; a second season aired from July to December 2023. A sequel covering the "Culling Game" arc has been announced.
By January 2024, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga had over 90 million copies in circulation, including related novels, digital versions, and Jujutsu Kaisen 0, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The Amazing Digital Circus is an independent-animated web series created and directed by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions. The series follows a group of humans trapped inside a circus-themed virtual reality game, where they are troubled by a rogue artificial intelligence while coping with personal traumas and psychological tendencies. Gooseworx pitched the series to Glitch, inspired by 1990s computer-generated imagery and the short story "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" by American writer Harlan Ellison.
The series began production in 2022, and its pilot episode premiered on Glitch Productions' YouTube channel on October 13, 2023. The pilot went viral and became one of the most-viewed animation pilots on the platform. The short was praised by critics for its animation and dark themes, and it was nominated for an Annie Award. The full series entered production following the pilot's popularity.
The Amazing Digital Circus follows a cast of humans—Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Gangle, Kinger, and Zooble—who have become trapped in the titular circus, a virtual reality game. Under the direction of their ringmaster, the artificial intelligence Caine, they engage in nonsensical adventures at the risk of losing their sanity and "abstracting" into digital monsters.
Mahoraga is an adapt person. Jax is a purple rabbit. Uraume is sukuna's head chef. Ragatha is a savage. Kenjaku got banged by yuji's dad and took over Geto. Caine is Caine and runs the digital circus.
