Jordan Bernt Peterson (born 12 June 1962) is a Canadian psychologist, author, and media commentator. He began to receive widespread attention in the late 2010s for his views on cultural and political issues. Often characterized as conservative, Peterson has described himself as a classic British liberal and a traditionalist.
Born and raised in Alberta, he obtained two bachelor's degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Alberta and then a PhD in clinical psychology from McGill University. After researching and teaching at Harvard University, he returned to Canada in 1998 and became a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto. In 1999, he published his first book, Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief, which became the basis for many of his subsequent lectures. The book combined psychology, mythology, religion, literature, philosophy and neuroscience to analyze systems of belief and meaning.
In 2016, Peterson released a series of YouTube videos criticizing a Canadian law (Bill C-16) that prohibited discrimination against gender identity and expression. Peterson argued that the bill would make the use of certain gender pronouns compelled speech and related this argument to a general critique of "political correctness" and identity politics, receiving significant media coverage and attracting both support and criticism.
In 2018, he paused both his clinical practice and teaching duties and published his second book, 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos. Promoted with a world tour, it became a bestseller in several countries. In 2019 and 2020 Peterson suffered health problems related to benzodiazepene dependence. In 2021, he published his third book, Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life, resigned from the University of Toronto, and returned to podcasting. In 2022, Peterson signed a content distribution deal with the conservative media company The Daily Wire and became Chancellor of Ralston College. His various lectures and conversations, available mainly on YouTube and podcasts, have gathered millions of views and plays.
Mutsuki Asagi (浅黄ムツキ in Japanese) is one of the characters in the 2021 roleplay game Blue Archive who studies at Gehenna Academy and wields a Machine Gun, and is one of the characters of the 2024 Anime Adaptation of the same name. She is one of the members of Handyman 68 (or Problem Solver 68), a group of "fixers" who claim to be able to finish any task if paid sufficiently. Although they're dubbed as "problem solvers", they are essentially just hired mercenaries. However, Mutsuki isn't one to be ignored due to her explosive expertise.
She first appeared as a supporting antagonist in the main story's first volume, "The Foreclosure Task Force", where Problem Solver 68 was hired to eliminate the Countermeasures Committee, the volume's main protagonists. However, Mutsuki didn't really care and was just following orders, so after she and her friends were defeated, she decided to play around with them despite being enemies. At the end, Problem Solver 68 worked together with the Countermeasures Committee. She also appeared as a supporting protagonist in the third chapter of the third volume, "Treaty of Eden", and in the second and third chapter of the final volume, "Where All Miracles Begin". She also played as a protagonist in one of the side events, "Handyman 68's New Year Rhapsody", where she and her friends fought against a scam organization.
Blue Archive (Japanese: ブルーアーカイブ; Korean: 블루 아카이브; Chinese: 蔚蓝档案) is a role-playing game developed by Nexon Games (formerly NAT Games), a subsidiary of Nexon. It was released in 2021 for Android and iOS, first in Japan by Yostar and worldwide later that year by Nexon.[2] The game is free-to-play with gacha game mechanics as a means to obtain new characters. An anime television series adaptation titled Blue Archive The Animation aired from April to June 2024.
The player and protagonist is a Sensei who was summoned from outside the academic city-state of Kivotos by the president of the General Student Council, an extrajudicial committee governing the schools. Following her sudden disappearance, criminal activity rises around Kivotos and the player is tasked by the remaining members of the council to resolve issues that crop up and help search for the president.[3]
