MUST Have For Arctic Char!! (Krokerinn)
This is an Icelandic fly pattern known as the Krokerinn (The Hook), a fly pattern that is known to work exceptionally well for Arctic char, created by Gylfi Kristjánsson. While it’s known for Arctic char, I can see this pattern working quite well in my home waters for brook trout or landlocked salmon as a caddis imitation. I would tie it in green to better represent the caddis found in my area; however, black will also work well to stand out and still match the profile.
