The Walkabout project: Meta’s efforts to map America’s sidewalks and crosswalks – Edoardo Neerhut
Meta's mapping teams have been working with local communities throughout the United States to map sidewalks and crosswalks in OSM. Significant progress has been made in D.C., NYC, Phoenix, and Austin, with Miami, L.A. and other cities in progressing.

1. The data improvements so far.
2. How MapRoulette and MapWithAI Tasking managers are used.
3. How ML derived crosswalks and sidewalks speed up the process.
4. How OSM tag choices effect routing.
