New second hardest, surprisingly didn't take that long
I really like this tower as a concept. The gameplay is linear, but there's still a good variety of jumps. The co usage is great and perfectly adds to the variety without being too easy or too hard. The design touches are also really nice and give the whole thing a unique vibe. I personally don't enjoy the type of way this tower handles progression in the form of its button progress, but I won't deny that it's done well. All of it feels natural and part of the tower rather than forced or obligatory like how most other towers do it.
Some negatives I can give about this grind is that some parts of this tower are an absolute pain to learn. So many jumps are in this weird window where they're like 95% consistent, and you can do them perfectly fine on their own but fall apart during actual runs. It made for a really annoying experience early on. But, once you get the harder stuff down and you learn to focus throughout the run this can definitely become a fun tower to do, and it's where most of the tower's strengths shine through. I would recommend this for someone whose already beaten a couple catastrophic towers. It's a tower that requires resilience more than anything else.
Also my enjoyment would probably be higher if i could hear the music since there's a giant heat wave right now and I have to put my AC on full blast. We love Cytus II.
