2018 Canada PR Express Entry update- Police Clearance Certificate
Hi people!
IRCC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada) has released an update regarding the Police Clearance Certificate. Long story short - (Applicable only to EXPRESS ENTRY program) From now onwards, you need a PCC for only those countries where you have lived for 6 months or more 'CONSISTENTLY' or 'in a row'.
Earlier, a PCC was needed even if you visited any foreign country for shorter periods that totalled the entire duration to 6 months or more. (for example - In last 10 years, if you visited Dubai once for 3 months and next time for 4 months then you as per the old rule you were supposed to present a PCC for Dubai as well.)
Now, it is only needed if you lived in any country continuously for 6 months or more. Also, a PCC is only needed if you are more than 18 years of age.
