The Great Hwayoung Controversy of 2022 - Let's Analyze It [A Rodent's Take]
A followup to my initial reaction to the HWAYOUNG NERFS. Looks like this has become the next firestorm of controversy for E7, with many in support, but many MANY vehemently opposed to it.
So let's really take a deep dive into it.
If you don't want to watch, here's my summary.
1) Hwayoung was objectively busted and needed nerfs
2) The nerfs may have gone overboard, but AS LONG as she can meet her original INTENDED goal of busting tanky units, I think she will still be usable and still significantly better than a lot of the other borderline useless units in the game. The multis need to be boosted significantly, but my hope is that she retains the same damage against 20k+ hp units while SIGNIFICANTLY reducing it against targets that weren't her intended kill targets (one shotting stuff thats 20k + is fine, one shotting stuff thats 0-30k isnt fine). If she can't even kill tanks with attack buff post-nerf, then yeah its a problem.
3) Don't overreact, time will tell. If it's an overnerf, it's intentional because buffing in the future is much easier than nerfing again
Will be my final video on this topic, but I loved all the discussion from my first video!
