The shat chandi yagya with samputit path is the worship of goddess as mother and samputit enhances the auspiciousness of the chandi path and eradicate entire problems of life. It is carrying out to attract the attention of goddess durga, the ultimate source of energy in this world and ask for her help and blessings in life. माँ दुर्गा को शक्ति की देवी कहा जाता है। श्री दुर्गाजीका एक नाम ‘चंडी’ भी है। मार्कंडेय पुराणमें इसी देवीचंडीका माहात्म्य बताया है । उसमें देवीके विविध रूपों एवं पराक्रमोंका विस्तारसे वर्णन किया गया है । इसमेंसे सात सौ श्लोक एकत्रित कर देवी उपासनाके लिए `श्री दुर्गा सप्तशती’ नामक ग्रंथ बनाया गया है । सुख, लाभ, जय इत्यादि कामनाओंकी पूर्तिके लिए सप्तशतीपाठ करनेका महत्त्व बताया गया है ।
दुर्गा जी को प्रसन्न करने के लिए जिस यज्ञ विधि को पूर्ण किया जाता है उसे चंडी यज्ञ बोला जाता है। शतचंडी यज्ञ को सनातन धर्म में बेहद शक्तिशाली वर्णित किया गया है। इस यज्ञ से बिगड़े हुए ग्रहों की स्थिति को सही किया जा सकता है और सौभाग्य इस विधि के बाद आपका साथ देने लगता है। इस यज्ञ के बाद मनुष्य खुद को एक आनंदित वातावरण में महसूस कर सकता है। वेदों में इसकी महिमा के बारे में यहाँ तक बोला है कि शतचंडी यज्ञ के बाद आपके दुश्मन आपका कुछ नहीं बिगाड़ सकते हैं। इस यज्ञ को गणेशजी, भगवान शिव, नव ग्रह, और नव दुर्गा (देवी) को समर्पित करने से मनुष्य जीवन धन्य होता है।
