Shri Yantra is the most important Symbol in the worship of the Divine Mother Durga, Kali and Lalitha are the three forms of Parvathi which are most widely used for worship. Shri Yantra has been described as the much loved Yantra of Goddess Laxmi. Shri Yantra is counted as amongst the most auspicious and powerful of Yantra. The term of 'Shri' defines wealth, and that of 'Yantra' means an instrument, thus collectively making it an instrument of wealth and spiritual advancement.
The Shri Chakra is the symbol of the Lalitha aspect of the Divine Mother. It is essentially a Yantra, a geometrical figure symbolizing the goddess as the queen adorning her abode the Maha Meru. Lalitha Tripurasundari is third in the hierarchy of the Dasha Mahavidyas and is pure consciousness and divine knowledge. She is the Adhi-Shakthi, i.e. mother of mothers: Saraswathy, Lakshmiand Parvathi. She is also worshipped as Raja-Rajeshwari and Sri-Vidya. She adorns the Bindu stana in the Shri Yantra, which like a dicotyledonous seed, encapsulates the Siva-Sakthi concept.
श्रीयंत्र को माता लक्ष्मी का यंत्र माना जाता है। देवी लक्ष्मी की कृपा पाने के लिए इस यंत्र की पूजा करने का विधान है। धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार मां लक्ष्मी को प्रसन्न करने के लिए स्फटिक का श्रीयंत्र उत्तम होता है। श्री का अर्थ होता है धन और यंत्र का मतलब होता है साधन, यानि धन प्राप्त करने का साधन यह यंत्र माना गया है। कहते हैं कि इसका विधि पूर्वक पूजन कर घर, ऑफिस या पूजा स्थल पर रखने से वहां सकारात्मक ऊर्जा का वास होता है।
