As of May 2022, we're in beta mode testing with Americans who speak English and are learning Spanish, and Mexicans who speak Spanish and are learning English. We think our target user is a busy adult who just wants to speak. No perusing profiles. No need to message individuals or broadcast/post "Anyone available for a chat?". No need to do timezone calculations for scheduling a chat. No profile photos so it doesn't feel like a dating app. Your phone number is kept private and there's no commitment or subscription fees.
During a call using Round-Robin, there's no need to split the call in half to change languages. The caller always gets to practice their target language. The person who is called is the designated helper, or Friend.
