Garmin EchoMap UHD 64cv Active Captain and NMEA2000 Setup
The new Garmin EchoMap UHD is an amazing fish finder and chart plotter. Those features seem alot easier to obtain useful information. When I was in the market for one of these devices, I was most interested in how Active Captain is setup, and how to tie the Garmin device into a NMEA2000 network. I was able to connect my Yamaha F200 engine through the NMEA2000 network and ultimately read the data points that the engine is automatically setup to send.
I also will demonstrate how to setup your Garmin EchoMap UHD to custom display the data that is most important to monitor on your vessel.
