A snippet from my longer streaming setup video. This takes care of the slight delay that gradually happens when you are using the HD60X with 4k Streaming. Very annoying but this is the only work around. It is not your computers fault.

Is your Elgato HD60X audio drifting out of sync during long OBS streaming sessions? This quick tutorial shows you exactly how to permanently fix the audio lag issue so your Twitch or YouTube gaming streams stay perfectly synced from start to finish.

The most common problem happens when you capture both audio and video from the same source. Over time, usually after 20 to 25 minutes of gameplay, the audio starts to lag behind the video. It looks terrible on stream, and it happens on even the fastest computers.

To fix this, you need to separate your audio and video inputs inside OBS:

Mute the audio on your Elgato video capture source within the OBS audio mixer.

Add a brand new "Audio Input Capture" source specifically for the Elgato HD60X.

By keeping the video and audio sources completely separate, your capture card will stop skipping and desyncing.
