Since 2017, the Cuban underground techno label Abstraction has been putting out excellent music, including tracks and remixes by many other artists like Bas Mooy, Arnaud Le Texier, Temudo, and Vegim.
Berlin-based vrov has made himself known in just a few years, returning to Abstraction after his 2023 EP 'On the Edge' delivered some much loved cold cuts. Other appearances on the mighty Index Marcel Fengler imprint and Khazad Records mean we expect to see a lot more from this upcoming talent.
For this DT:Premiere we selected "Puffka" a short and snappy tool-like track. It's raw rhythms incorporate analogue grit, while the Spanish vocal loop adds some tribal vibes and soul to this throwback slice of punchy purism.
