Presenting the newer, better Majestic build order!
Even though this run was far from perfect I did manage to get the best time completing the game as of the release date of this video!
Age 1 got a large makeover that changed build order after the second farm placement enabling it to skip the northwestern part of the map but still finishing in the same month and saving 11 seconds in this age compared to my previous best.
The majority of changes took place in age 2. As of now only age 1 was 100% predictable and could be build exactly the same way each time. But in this new build order I managed to build age 2 in a way that is also 100% predictable. In order to achieve this I had to make sure that no buildings decayed because of a food shortage. When doing that I figured out a way to build the entirety of age 2 without building any fire or police stations saving at least 1:30 but could be better. But still a 1:30 time safe is huge.
Saving that much time in age 2 comes with a timeloss in age 3.
Age 3 was slown quite a bit, especially when you don’t do it right as can be seen in this run. Age 3 in this run looked a lot like older build orders since I had to build industry. And since I needed to wait for the industry to be build this age took longer. But on the other hand it also helps age 4 since I was able to pre place some roads and fires/police stations.
The 4th age was and still is the least prepared age for me but in preparation of this run I did do a little testing. This testing was of less use since I build poorly. But still the time saves from previous ages made it so that I was able to get a glod split and retake the world record. Or as I also said in the video “managed to take the blue ribband”, Which is the reward given to ships for crossing the Atlantic as fast as possible. Sort of a speedrun for ships of that era.
