Weeping Cherry and Wave Stained Glass Melt and Pour Soap Making

In this video I continue to explore techniques for making beautiful stained glass-like soaps. Here, I use a ball point pen to draw designs on thin sheets of soap. If I make the grooves wide enough, I have found that the mica/alcohol "paints" flow easily into the channels to form an outline. Also, the grooves provide tiny barriers to the color. When embedding the final paintings, I try a new way to embed where I place the mica painting face down on a hardened layer of melt and pour soap. I think I still prefer the clear sheet method of protecting the painting to prevent any smudging, but I will try the technique again in the future being very careful not to move the embed after placing it down.
