BEAUTIFUL HOSPITAL LIVE BIRTH VLOG *RAW AND REAL*| EMOTIONAL HOSPITAL BIRTH DURING PANDEMIC| LABOR|
Our second baby, Adelai Hope Wilson joined our family on July 19th, 2020 at 1:53 pm after being one week overdue. I had acupuncture the night before after having sporadic contractions for two weeks and immediately starting having more rhythm in my contractions. I was an hour away from my home at the time and was unable to reach my husband! When I finally did arrive at home I labored for a while, in the tub (at which point I lost the rest of my mucus plug, shown on camera) before going to the hospital. I was 6 cm when I checked in and my water had broken with meconium. After experiencing a few obstacles that I didn't experience while laboring naturally with my first baby (such as not being able to have the low intervention room, not having a tub in my room, having to be hooked up to the monitors due to Adelai's heart rate consistently dropping, having an unevenly effaced cervix, not being able to have our doula, etc.) i decided to get an epidural at 9 cm to help relax me and get me through pushing. I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl approximately 20 minutes after receiving the epidural. (Which I would not have gotten if I could have foreseen that she would be coming in such a short time later, but 2020...)
