Ancient Lichdragon Fortissax Boss Elden Ring 2024 02 15
Very cool boss fight
The Ancient Dragon Fortissax befriended Godwyn the Golden after Godwyn proved his skill against him in combat during the great war with the dragons. Godwyn the Golden was assassinated on the Night of Black Knives using the stolen rune of death but Godwyns fate would be even more terrible than just final death. Unfortunately, Godwyn only died in soul alone and his body which had been corrupted by death lived on spreading the death root throughout the roots of the ancient Erdtree when he was buried (this created the ulcerated tree spirits and created the death blight throughout the Lands Inbetween). Saddened by his companions fate Fortisaxx wished to cure his dear friends horrifying affliction. The ancient dragon planned on accomplishing this by entering Godwyns eternal dream of death and removing the corruption therewithin, therefore effectively allowing Godwyns body to finally die giving him the peace he so rightfully deserves. Sadly the corruption in Godwyn proved even too powerful for the legendary Dragon and Fortissax also became corrupted by the death blight. Now this once noble Ancient Dragon has become the Lichdragon trapped in Godwyns eternal death slumber for all of time. Or at least until one tarnished champion of no renown can enter Godwyns death dream and bring peace to the corrupted dragon that he himself once sought after for Godwyn.
