Mohg, Lord Of Blood Elden Ring 2024.02.10
Demigod Mogh Lord of Blood ruler of the so called Mohgwyn dynasty. This reviled Omen was infamous for carving the cocoon of his infant cursed, younger half brother from the Haligtree (grown by Miquella to undue his own curse of youth) and stealing him away to his underground palace in the Eternal City. He hopes to raise his empyrean half sibling to full godhood status in the hopes of becoming his consort and next Elden Lord. Mohg was locked in the subterranean shunning grounds from birth where all omen royalty (common folk born as omens all had their horns exercised which in turn usually led to their deterioration and eventual death) were kept away and hidden due to being reviled for their apparent curse. Sadly they were seen as blessed in long ago times but this opinion changed for some unknown reason, maybe the lost knowledge of the Crucible (pre cursor to the Erdtree) had something to do with it since it was most likely the crucible that caused these afflictions. Born with cursed blood, horns and in rare cases even tails and wings. The omens share a similar fate to the demi humans seemingly being mixed of human and beast like parts. They also all share incredible physical strength. Unlike his twin brother Morgott, Mohg fully embraced his curse earning him the favor of the outer god known only as the formless mother. With the formless mothers blessing Mohgs blood erupted in flames giving him the power of... the blood flame. With his newfound blood power and the shattering of the Elden ring he was able to acquire his own shard earning him one of the titles of the 7 shard bearers (9 total but only 7 you can fight: Mohg, Godrick, Rennala, Radahn, Melania, Morgott, Rykard. The two you cant get are Rannis and Miquellas because Rannis was discarded and Miquellas actual fate/spirit location are unknown even though you can find his cocoon containing his empty body). I believe he stole Miquellas cocoon after the events of the shattering but I'm not certain.
Did so much to make this boss easy cheesy mode (rune farming to 48 vigor 70 intelligence, got the lord of blood physick, Mohgs Shackle, black knife Tiche summon, Moonlight Greatsword/Carian Regal Scepter 70 INT build with rock sling/comet azure boosted by cerulean hidden tear physick, Wing of Astel secondary weapon) and it was still hard. Maybe just getting good instead of trying to cheese things is more optimal in the long run. I think I actually play better with just dual katanas although bleed is still over powered. My point is that in order to land that bleed you have to practice good timing and the ability to learn boss' move sets. This in turn will just make you better overall. (But in the case of Mohg this wont work as well since he gets a 20% damage buff when bleed is inflicted on him or the player so it was not as feasible). Sometimes using easy mode weapons/spells can be a hindrance to you later down the line. Once you get to a strong boss that negates your "cheat" weapons/skills/spells/incantations you are at a heavy disadvantage since you never learned to actually fight/survive with timing and distance management practice. Once I found that extended comet azuring Mohgs cursed ass would not work I struggled for 10 attempts before I got a little better at dodging his move set and then I finally cheesed his cursed ass. Unfortunately, I now have Mohgs Trident (most overpowered weapon skill in the game) and can go back to cheesing as much as I want. I just don't even know what to do anymore... thankfully I don't play PvP
