This Marlin 57 "Levermatic," on loan from a neighbor, is a tube fed rifle with an innovative short-throw (accelerated) lever action. Only about 34,000 were produced from 1959 to 1964. The trigger pull is much too heavy by today's standards yet it's surprisingly crisp & clean.
