79. Untitled Installation No. 1
For this project, we wanted to explore materiality and create an immersive experience. We developed an installation that demonstrates transparency, vastness, and density through the repetition of material as the viewer navigates the space. We decided to suspend strips of translucent, iridescent cellophane because when quantified into high density the material provides a distorted visual experience while still requiring the viewer to engage physically and ‘push through’ in order navigate through the space.
I am truly proud of this creation and infinitely thankful to my partner Kelsey Willits as well as everyone who helped me and supported me in this process.
