This video demonstrates the functionality of the enable/disable property of controls. It also shows the effect of locking a disabled control. Disable a control if you don’t want the user to interact with it. The example discusses some of the conditions where enabling/disabling and/or locking might be warranted for different types of controls. It also describes the default value for the Enabled property and how you can change that value. Further, the video describes and illustrates adjusting the enable/disable property of control(s) programmatically at run time.

This video has been resurrected from an older Access tutorial series by DataPigTechnologies. Even though Access looks different now, the concepts and functionality persist. Thanks to owner, Mike Alexander, for making these videos available for presentation once again. Thanks also to Jack Drawbridge and John Clark for helping get these valuable lessons back online.
