So, the new consoles can output up to 120 Hz. This can be set manually on the Xbox Series X, but not so much on the PS5. However, many monitors that support higher refresh rates only support those refresh rates on the DisplayPort inputs, such as my Samsung Odyssey G9, and have a cap of 60 Hz on the HDMI input. The adapter in this video allows you to connect your HDMI output from your console to a DisplayPort input on your monitor, allowing you to take full advantage of your monitor refresh rates.
