Planning For Burial - Whiskey and Wine Full Band Cover
This is something I threw together in just a day a few months ago, but put it on the shelf as I wanted to get a melodica to truly complete it. That never happened so I finally shot all the videos today and finished what I could.
I want to do the same treatment to my cover of Violet, but that would require so much more effort as this song is incredibly easy to learn and play. Violet would have me trying to relearn dozens of parts again and record for hours since the song is so long. It's not going to happen anytime soon, but it's something I'll probably do because I want to take some bass out of the mix and adjust the drums.
If you have any questions about the mix or how I went about making this (other than "tabs?") please let me know. Same goes if you have any advice or criticism. Mixing is still rather new to me so any knowledge helps.
ps don't flame me for the vocals; I'm 90% a guitarist before anything else. I "can" make a fry scream but it's only passable with a lot of post processing. Sounds good enough for my purpose though so I'm content with it.
Thank you Thom for this song and the rest of the "Below the House" record. You guys have no idea how many times I've listened to this and both parts of Dull Knife. Those three songs have meant everything to me for almost two years now.
