SNK's most successful fighting game of 1993 gets a sequel, and the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" adage gets applied as SS2 is more of an upgrade to SS1 than a full-blown sequel. Not necessarily a bad thing of course since SS1 was such a good game for the time. But did it change things up enough? One thing I forgot to talk about in this video is that even though this game is for all intents and purposes an improvement over the original, I never saw the same huge crowds of people around this game. It felt like people at my local arcade were way more interested in Killer Instinct at the time. But of course that wasn't the case in Japan...
