Amazon Lowers Currency Conversion Fees for Sellers with New Volume-Based Rates
Amazon's Currency Converter for Sellers (ACCS) now offers reduced, volume-based fees, enabling sellers to receive disbursements in their preferred currency with competitive rates. This shift replaces the previous flat rate, providing conversion fees as low as 0.75% for high-volume sellers. For sellers with annual sales under $100,000, the fee is now 1.5%, with rates decreasing as sales volume increases: 1.25% for over $500,000, 1% for over $1 million, and just 0.75% for sales exceeding $10 million. This update allows sellers who operate in international markets, like Canadians selling to the U.S., to save significantly on conversion fees, making the currency transfer process more cost-effective. Amazon’s move responds to market competition, bringing better value to sellers needing efficient cross-border financial management.
