29kW DIY SURRON BUILD - WHAT'S BROKEN SO FAR?
A CoolWatts video under 20 minutes?!? Unbelievable. After putting over 3500km on my DIY Surron Dirt Beast, I examine any issues that have popped up in the first season of riding. While nothing catastrophic has broken on the bike, and it's never left me stranded, there have been a few minor issues.
I also discuss maintenance on the cool CNC jackshaft and the Renthal R1 chain. How is the 80v battery pack with Samsung 40Ts performing? Is the mountain bike fork, my Manitou Dorado, holding up? And finally the Magura MT7s - the brakes everyone loves to hate - are reviewed after a season of hard riding. In general, I LOVE LOVE this bike, and have gotten way more use and enjoyment from it than I expected to.
