How to Sort in Tableau
There are 3 primary ways to sort in Tableau and this article will cover each of them. We will even show you how to clear you sort after you have made a selection. There 4 parameters to consider in the advanced sort. But the primary thing you need to know is which field to sort and if you want it in Ascending order or Descending order.
1. Go to the toolbar at the top of the page.
2. There are three icons to choose from (Swap Rows & Columns, Sort Descending, Sort Ascending.
3. Click on the way you want to sort.
4. Tableau will automatically sort based on the measure you have in the view
