To edit something on a website to trick your friends, watch this video or do the following:
1. Open firefox and make your way to the website you would like to modify.
2. Scroll down the page from top to bottom to make sure all images get downloaded then click the open menu button followed by "Save Page".
3. Choose a location to download the files such as your desktop and ensure the save as type is "Web Page Complete" before clicking save.
4. Go to the location you chose and right click the webpage file, then choose open with notepad.
5. Copy the text from the website you would like to modify then go back to notepad and hold control as you press f to bring up the find dialogue.
6. Paste in the text you copied and click find next.
7. Now replace the highlighted text with whatever you want, then click file followed by save before you close notepad.
8. Double click the file you just modified ensuring that it opens with firefox.
9. Your custom text will now be displayed in the webpage.
To change images keep reading:
10. Open the folder that you downloaded and find the image you want to change.
11. Right click it then click rename and copy it's name before deleting it.
12. Drag a similar sized image with the same file format into the folder, right click it then click rename and paste in the name of the file you just deleted.
13. If you now open the webpage file again and the image hasn't changed, click the open menu button followed by options and privacy, then click clear your recent history ensuring that the time range to clear is everything and the cache box is ticked.
14. Click on "clear now" and open the webpage file again. Everything is looking good but before you trick your friend, copy and paste the real page address into the address bar of the fake page and click away.
