Normalizing Author Names
Filtering results based on document metadata is a key feature of any search service. The Author field is one of the most used filters in our corpus, but our repositories don’t have a standard format for storing this information. We developed a solution that sets the Author field to the determined official name at index time so that the filters follow a standard format to make searching easier for users.
